What this 2026 list is (and is not)
Above are indicative shubh dates for wedding planning in Maharashtra traditions, referenced to Mumbai IST. A date on this list means many common panchanga filters treat that civil day as usable for विवाह — it does not replace matching both partners’ kundali, selecting a precise lagna (ascendant) window, or your family priest’s advice.
Before you book a hall, read the checklist in our Marriage Muhurat guide and confirm the final muhurat personally.
Static overview of open months (2026)
- February — Many dates (5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 19–21, 24–26).
- March — Early-month dates; Gudi Padwa falls on 19 March (plan around festival traffic).
- April — Includes period around Akshaya Tritiya (20 April), widely preferred.
- May & June — Summer windows; book venues early.
- July — Limited dates before Ashadha influence (2, 3, 7, 9).
- November — Post-Diwali dates (20, 25–27).
- December — Year-end dates (2–4, 9–11, 14).
How to shortlist dates without wasting deposits
- Pick two open months that suit both families’ travel (e.g. Feb and Apr, or Nov–Dec).
- Share both birth details (date, time, place) with one trusted astrologer — not five conflicting WhatsApp forwards.
- Ask for 2–3 candidate lagna windows (clock times), not only civil dates.
- Only then pay hall / caterer advances tied to a specific day-part.
- Re-check Rahu Kaal and local sunrise if the ceremony includes a morning exit or griha-style ritual the same day.

Closed months — planning alternatives
January, August, September, and October 2026 show no shubh vivaah dates on this list. Families sometimes schedule engagement (sakharpuda), venue scouting, or shopping then — but that is a family/priest decision, not an endorsement from this site. Do not assume a reception-only party makes an empty muhurat month “open.”
